Electronics

Students will learn the theory and skills involved in repairing and rebuilding electronic equipment such as radios, television sets, and industrial equipment; they typically include the basic theory of electricity as well. Topics covered include voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance, reactance, series and parallel circuits, motors, generators, transformers, and solid-state devices. Course topics may include AC, DC, analog, and integrated circuitry, solid state and digital devices, amplifiers, and semiconductors. The following semester will focus on Robotic which is the next step in Electronics and will go deeper into voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance, reactance, series and parallel circuits, motors, generators, transformers, and solid-state devices. We will also cover Microcontrollers, BASIC Stamps, Circuit Boards, LED’s, servos, motors, and basic Robotics.
